Altyn Bank in digital banking Altyn-i launched Apple Pay contactless payments
Starting today, Altyn-i Mastercard payment card holders can quickly and safely pay for purchases with a mobile phone or other device with Apple Pay contactless payment technology.
You can link the Altyn-i Mastercard credit or debit card to the Apple Pay service using the pre-installed Wallet application on your iPhone or other Apple device. «We created Altyn-i, the first digital bank in Kazakhstan, where all products and processes are transferred online, starting from accounts and issuing a debit card to international currency transfer or receiving an unsecured loan», said Marat Almenov, Chairman of the Board of AltynBank JSC, «We are constantly developing Altyn-i and are interested in expanding banking services for our clients. Now we are pleased to offer them a new, convenient method of contactless payment for goods and services».
Apple Pay payments are secure and provide the necessary privacy: when you add a Altyn-i Mastercard credit or debit card to an Apple Pay, the card number itself is not stored on the device or on Apple servers. A unique account number is assigned which is encrypted and securely stored on the Apple Secure Element chip. At the same time, each transaction is authorized by a unique one-time secret code that is dynamically generated.
You can pay using Apple Pay with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and newer models, as well as with Apple Watch. The user can make purchases in applications and on websites with one touch of the Touch ID or double-click the side button and look at the iPhone X to confirm the operation via Face ID.
Altyn Bank ranks 13th in terms of assets and has the highest ratings (Fitch - «BBB-», Moody’s - «Ba1») among Kazakhstan commercial banks.
