Altyn Express is a co-branded payment card by Altyn Bank that offers a personal 20% discount on train tickets from JSC “Passenger Transportation” and 5% cashback on transport payments worldwide — including trains, metro, buses, and taxis.

After the card is issued, you are automatically assigned a discount number, which grants access to the ticket discount. This discount number is displayed directly on the card in the Altyn-i mobile app, as well as in the “Card Details” section.

Download the app, enter your IIN and phone number, complete video identification, and pay the annual service fee.

The discount becomes active on the next business day after the annual service fee is paid.
You will be assigned a unique 13-digit discount number.

This discount number is displayed on the card itself in the Altyn-i mobile app and in the “Card Details” section of the app.

The discount applies to all trains operated by JSC “Passenger Transportation,” including “Talgo,” standard, and suburban trains.
It does not apply to tickets from other carriers or for international routes.

If you're buying through the Altyn-i mobile app, the discount will be applied automatically.
If purchasing via the website bilet.railways.kz or the KTZh Tickets app (Android), manually enter the number in the “Card Number” field.

You can pay through the Altyn-i app or via transfer from any other card. Payment options include:

• By depositing funds to the card account via a cashier or a Halyk Bank ATM with a cash-in function

You receive 5% cashback on your purchase amount when paying for transportation services with the card: train, metro, bus, or taxi (if a terminal or online payment is available). Cashback is credited for purchases over 1,000 tenge. Additionally, when purchasing a ticket via the website https://bilet.railways.kz/ (please note that if a railway ticket is purchased through the Altyn-i mobile app, the client is eligible for the personal discount only). 

Cashback is awarded for transactions with the following MCC codes: 4121, 4131, 4112, 4111.

The cashback applies both in Kazakhstan and abroad, provided the transaction falls under the relevant category.

Train tickets can be refunded in accordance with the Passenger Transportation Rules.
The discount is not forfeited — you’ll be able to use it again for your next purchase.
